JULIE DOES IT WHILE BURNING HER KNICKERS

Julie burning her knickers while ironing! The concept of the portrait was based on the story that when Julie was a child, she demanded her knickers were always ironed and folded neatly. The sitting was held in her Chelsea property with the ironing board tipped slightly towards the viewer. Her dress was originally cyan blue, but was changed to green for the painting . The finished portrait was exhibited at the Lynne Painter Stainers exhibition in the Mall Galleries, London.
